The Central Board of Secondary Examination’s (CBSE) Class 12 mathematics exam on Monday left students in tears, with most of them claiming they couldn’t complete it on time.
Most of the 40% questions in the paper were tricky and most students found it difficult to solve.
“I left two questions as the paper was very difficult to understand. It required time to understand each of the questions and had to perform elaborate calculations. The three hours’ time for the paper was not enough,”
It was mostly the problems from integration and differential matrix questions that caused a fit among students. The one-mark questions required us to write elaborately, so most of the time got spent there. Some of students left questions with more than 15-mark weightage,
So most of the children returned home disappointed, parents are worried that this might affect the children’s confidence. The board should take cognisance of this matter and initiate corrective measure, said a parent, who did not want to be named.
