PM Modi to review the performance of all the Ministries


Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to meet his council of ministers on June 29 to take stock of the performance of all the ministries. Speculation was earlier rife that a Cabinet reshuffle would take place on June 28. However, this may not happen due to the June 29 meeting that will examine major schemes of ministries, and Cabinet decisions taken in the last couple of months to review their progress. The meeting will take place just hours ahead of a Cabinet committee meeting on Parliamentary affairs that will decide the schedule of the monsoon session of Parliament, highly placed sources said.


“Although a monthly meeting of the PM with his council of ministers had started in January, next week’s gathering to review the performance of ministers assumes significance due to the impending reshuffle. The meeting is expected to start around 9:30 a.m. and will attended by all the ministers,” the sources added. Concerns have been raised over the delay in several key schemes of the government.
