India retains its top position in T20


India won their 3rd T20 encounter with Sri Lanka in a more convincing manner. Indians were handed over the loss at the hands of Sri Lanka in the very first match held at Pune. Starting the series with 0-1, the second match played at Ranchi, home town of Dhoni, witnessed a tremendous comeback by India with a thundering win. ShikarDhawan registered a first half century in T20’s and a combined effort of Indian bowlers saw the Sri Lankan batting line up crushed up and giving Indian team a winning margin of 69 runs to level the series. 


With the series 1-1, the venue for third match at Vizag expected a strong fight by both the teams to win the series. However, the visitors did not makemuch effort to the score board moving. The bowlers, led by R Ashwin, bowled out Sri Lanka for their lowest T20I total of 82. In reply, Indian batsmen did not break a sweat to reach the target. Losing only Rohit’s wicket, ShikarDhawan and AjinkyaRahanecompleted the formalities in just 13.5 overs to reach the target set by the visitors.
